Der österreichische Tenor Philipp Kapeller studierte an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Er war Preisträger beim Nationalen Musikwettbewerb Gradus ad Parnassum und 2013 Finalist beim ersten internationalen Otto-Edelmann-Wettbewerb in Wien. Er war in der Kinderoper Aladdin und die Wunderlampe von Nino Rota an der Wiener Staatsoper zu hören und sang im Schlosstheater Schönbrunn Basilio (Le Nozze di Figaro), Alfred (Die Fledermaus) und Ferrando (Così fan tutte). Philipp Kapeller war ab der Spielzeit 2014/15 Ensemblemitglied des Oldenburgischen Staatstheaters und stand dort u. a. als Don Ramiro (La Cenerentola), Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Fenton (Falstaff), Cosroe (Siroe), Hyllus (Hercules), Lysander (Ein Sommernachtstraum), Prince Philippe (Yvonne, die Burgunderprinzessin), Camille de Rosillon (Die lustige Witwe) und Tobias Ragg (Sweeney Todd) auf der Bühne. Seit der Spielzeit 2019/20 ist Philipp Kapeller im Ensemble der Staatsoper Hannover und war hier u. a. bereits in Märchen im Grand Hotel als Prinz Andreas Stephan sowie als Erster Jude in Salome, als Don Basilio (Die Hochzeit des Figaro), Büttel Bamford (Sweeney Todd), George Dibdin (Der Vampyr) und Flute (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) zu erleben.
